Air temperature 68 F, dew point 62, wind south 3 mph, scattered clouds. Bike ride sooner rather than later.
First mullein spikes blooming, goldenrod, wild tansy, larger thistles -- either field or pasture thistles, bicycle botany can't tell the difference. Canada thistles starting to fluff, cattail spikes filling out.
Roadkill -- one skunk, about 8 miles into the route, not as smelly as some. Couple of thoroughly flat gray squirrels.
Got out on the bike, warm and humid ride. Did not die.
