Starling swarms abound

First summer report
A few cornflower/chicory blooms, Canada thistle buds getting knobby but not open yet, multiflora rose blooming its invasive alien way. Mower working along the edge of the road through the bog, so bicycle botany likely to suffer.
Roadkill limited to a couple of gray squirrels.
Got out on the bike, dealt with a couple of annoying areas of construction, did not run over that kid on Fern Street that darted out in front of me. Nobody died.

Koko has died. Another one of those cases where my first thought was, "She was still alive?"
