Great blue heron working the cemetery pond for frogs and little fishes. Actual roadkill totaled a couple of gray squirrels and one chipmunk, plus the usual assortment of blood patches.
Bladder campion and daisy fleabane starting to bloom, black locust trees coating the road with spent flowers, even the rhododendrons in shade starting to drop petals. Buttercups abide.
Temperature vaulted up to 60 F, sunshine, little wind, got out on the bike. Ride takes me to over 400 miles for the year. Did not die.
