Too quiet . . .

Air temperature 61 F, wind west about 5 mph, scattered clouds. Bike ride early rather than late.

Happy start-the-fall-of-the-British-Empire day.

Cattail spikes are up, first milkweed flower heads, day lilies, and more cornflower/chicory. Usual suspects continue.

No identifiable roadkill.

Bike route does not coincide with any parade routes, so I got my regular ride in. Did not die.

Current events remind me that about half of my ancestry came to this country as refugees. Almost all of Wife's ancestry did. As in, leave or die.

Sometimes it's personal. Went out for a walk, sky started raining. Back home, sun coming out now.
