Air temperature 62 F, scattered clouds, wind south about 8 mph. Forecast to get up around 90 F today. Bike ride before that doom overtakes us . . .

Sunday floral report

First daisy-types seen, white and red clover, purple vetch. More lupines, phlox, and rhododendrons. Lilacs pretty near done.

Only roadkill seen -- a couple of squashed gray squirrels, right in town. Doing our part for breeding smarter, faster rodents.

Got out on the bike early and stuck with a local ride -- across town to the airport and over some hills and back. About 70 F when I started, 80 F when I got back. Did not die.
