Yellow hawkweed has joined the dandelions and whole fields of buttercups by the roadside. Lupine spikes filling out, curled dock putting up those peculiar green flower heads. Multiflora rose blooming by the interstate overpasses, invasive alien planted by the Department of Transportation . . .
No fresh roadkill except for a crow out in the bog, apparently miscalculated time/distance. No sign of what it was after.
Sunny, temperature in the 60s F and little wind, got out on the bike. Did not die.
