Why I didn't want rain

The morning newspaper walk provided . . . interesting . . . traction.  Was somewhat amused to see, upon return to our driveway, that my footprints remained visible in the "water" on the pavement.  Sort of a gel or slurry, looks like water but ain't.

Air temperature allegedly about 40 F, but the ground would register considerably colder.

Wife has been warned, but doesn't feel the need for driving services.

Obligatory twice-yearly time-grump

One of our highly-questionable TV talking heads actually spouted that utter drivel about "gaining an hour of daylight."

Yeah.  And if you cut a length of string off and tie it back on the other end, it gets longer . . .
