And throwing it into reverse . . .

Temperature was 54 F when I did my locking-up rounds last night, with a damp wind from the south.  36 F when I got up this morning, 34 now, with wind from the NW.

We are practicing the reversion to the norm . . .

(Poor Norm.)

And along the lines of "boom" . . .

I see news reports that use the terms "dynamite" and "TNT" as if they were interchangeable.  I apply a large discount factor to any facts contained in such reports.

Continued dive

Outside temperature now 29 F, with NW wind at 12 mph.  Wife and I returned from our walk with a healthy glow on our cheeks.  Or was that windburn?

Not frostbite, anyway.

Snow predicted for tonight.

Federal Reserve cuts rates to zero*

"Sounds like they're out of ammo, Lieutenant.  Time to rush 'em."

*Zero to .25% in the article I read.  Don't know how they break down the range.
