Internal debate

To ride or not to ride, that is the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of a high wind warning, etc...

Sunny day, temperatures up near 50 F, but the wind gusts something fierce out there. Wife has opined that I would be crazy to bicycle rather than go for a nice long walk. End up blown into the front of an oncoming SUV or into a ditch, depending. Of such things is my personal drama made.

Meanwhile, back at SIGNATURES, Fat Wizard has climbed those stairs. Didn't _quite_ have a heart attack. Now he gets to break some big-time laws in the pursuit of Higher Good.

Four strong winds that blow lonely

...Seven seas that run high.

Can't testify on the seas, but we have sustained winds in excess of 20 mph with gusts over 40. I did not go bicycling. I walked. I _can_ act responsibly, if Mommy tells me to.

Now I think I'll have another cup of coffee. Maybe this afternoon I'll go for the big thrills and make up another icon, stark black and white of a .45 Colt auto, to use on Fat Wizard posts.

Fossils

I was sitting here, playing solitaire because my body says it ain't bedtime yet -- damned "Daylight Savings Time" (No, you _don't_ make a string longer by cutting off one end and tying it on to the other...) and it occured to me that my "Four Strong Winds" title earlier probably whizzed right past two-thirds of you dear readers.

Hey, anytime I go quoting "folk" songs from the Sixties and you youngsters don't get the reference, feel free to bitch about it. I have to kick myself every now and then to remember that most of the internet population is younger than my sons.
