Well, Ace has set a publication date for DRAGON'S EYE, November 2005. And they sent the delivery-and-acceptance check along, hooray, proof once again that money in legit publishing should flow _to_ the author. Not a _big_ check, but it's the thought that counts.

Still waiting for the signing advance on the French language edition of SUMMER COUNTRY, contracts sent off months ago. Probably sent via porpoise, and the courier got distracted by a school of herring. That contract is denominated in Euros, so we have been watching the exchange rate on a daily basis. Wanna bet the rate bottoms out just about when the check shows up?
